MLGC has experience in setting up Clinically Integrated Networks, working with provider teams on creating care pathways, and increasing patient Net Promotor Scores.
In addition, MLGC has recently affiliated with a leading value-based healthcare technology company to further expand our offering to provide the tools required to adhere to the new CMS Primary Care guidelines for quality improvement.
Staff evaluation
MLGC has led organizations through numerous acquisitions and affiliations whereby staffing was a major focus. MLGC will assist and evaluate a recommended path for optimization, as well as recommend best practices specific for recruiting and retention activities.
Review of practice operations
Our team has worked for large hospital systems in leadership roles (CEO, COO, EVP), managed large physician groups in multiple regions, and led acquisitions and affiliations. Our scope of services range from a high-level practice overview to a ground level analysis consisting of a comprehensive staffing review to overall financial projections based on our findings.
Revenue growth
MLCG leadership has led multi-million dollar practice turnarounds by analyzing revenue cycle and billing operations, practice expenses, and identifying missed medical care service opportunities. In addition, MLGC partners with the practice leadership to explore acquisition and partnership opportunities to further enhance revenues and ensure success in the ever evolving healthcare marketplace.

MLCG’s leadership has a combined 70+ years of holding senior leadership positions in a wide range of healthcare settings from physician practices, MSOs, hospitals, diagnostic imaging services, home medical equipment, health systems, and health plans.
Jeffrey S. Friedman
President & Chief Executive Officer
Senior Executive with 40 years of experience in hospital, multi-site physician practice management, MSOs, imaging services, HME/DME, Medicare Advantage, and health systems operations. Proven track record in establishing new
business ventures, expanding service lines, increasing revenues, and driving quality improvement and patient satisfaction. Successful in developing extremely productive physician strategic alliances; recruiting physicians and negotiating employment agreements; designing, planning, and opening new healthcare facilities; evaluating, financing, and acquiring major capital equipment; and negotiating vendor and managed care contracts. Excellent entrepreneurial, leadership, organizational development, and communication skills.
Jeff currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of MLCG. Prior to this role, Jeff was Chief Executive Officer of Medwood Services, LLC, a private equity owned management company for primary care clinics in the medically under-served communities in Brooklyn and Queens, NY. During his tenure he increased the number of clinics through acquisition and de novo sites, upgraded the management team and all practice operations for higher quality and more
efficient operations, revamped the provider compensation plan to reward growth, quality and patient satisfaction, and added new services with a focus on improving quality outcomes for their patients.
Before Medwood, he served as a Senior Vice President & Executive Director of Physician Services for the RWJBarnabas Health System, the largest non-profit health system in New Jersey. He had direct responsibility for over 200 physicians in 100 practice sites with revenues in excess of $83M. Jeff drove improved financial performance year-over-year and improved quality and patient satisfaction scores to drive clinical improvement and population health initiatives to transform the delivery of patient care.
He supported the strategic growth initiatives of seven acute care medical centers.
Jeff also served as Vice-President of Clinic Operations for Peoples Health, a Louisiana based Medicare Advantage plan with over 60,000 members. He established and managed a new division of the company that operated patient-centered medical home clinics and positioned them to enter into value-based provider agreements with insurers.
Prior to Peoples Health, Jeff owned a retail home medical equipment (HME) company that he later sold to the Ochsner Health System in New Orleans and ran their HME division; served as Director of Syndications for ASCs with Tenet Healthcare Corporation; and as Chief Operating Office for U.S. operations of Tenet Physician Services, their nationwide MSO. He was also the Executive Director and General Partner in Diagnostic Imaging Services, a privately held New Orleans imaging company and orchestrated its sale to Tenet.
Previously, Jeff spent five years serving in Assistant and Associate Administrator roles of three acute care hospitals owned by Hospital Corporation of America (HCA) and American Medical International (AMI).
He was a Clinical Associate Professor at the Tulane University School of Public Health & Tropical Medicine (SPHTM) for eight years and has served on the Editorial Advisory Board of Decisions in Imaging Economics for nine years.
He holds a Master of Public Health in Health Systems Management from the Tulane University SPHTM and a Bachelors of Science in Public Health from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
Ben B. Frank
Chief Operating Officer
Healthcare C-Suite Executive with 30 years of experience providing strategic/operational planning and servant leadership. He served as a key strategic advisor to numerous Boards as well as CEO’s. Known for leading hospitals, hospital systems and physician groups through high-priority transitions such as turnarounds, acquisitions and mergers/consolidations – domestic and international. Relentless driver to achieve outcome efficiencies in highly competitive markets with both investor-owned and not-for-profit organizations.
Ben currently serves as Chief Operating Officer of Management & Leadership Consulting Group, LLC and as the Chief Executive Officer of 3AIM partners. 3Aim Partners is a healthcare consultancy practice focused on delivering scalable strategies to drive organization growth by improving the patient experience, improving the health of populations and reducing the cost of care. As CEO, Ben is responsible for leading the practice, creating value for strategic partners, linking capital partners to innovators and providing consulting services to health delivery partners.
Previously Ben served as a Market President for Chen Medical, a value-based provider serving over 95,000 Medicare Advantage patients in 13 states. He was responsible for all market operations and led a successful turnaround of a high priority market. Prior to Chen Medical, Ben served as System Chief Operating Officer and Chief of Staff for Inova Health System. An experienced leader and creative thinker, Ben coordinated market strategy and service line alignment, led the day-to-day operations as well as coordinated international opportunities.
Prior to joining Inova, Ben served as System Executive Director of Clinical Operations at the Cleveland Clinic where he was responsible for the overall operations of 24 Clinical Institutes. He came to that role after serving as CEO of Sheikh Khalifa Medical City, the Cleveland Clinic managed flagship institution for Abu Dhabi Health Services Company. Sheikh Khalifa Medical City achieved numerous major healthcare milestones and received numerous accolades.
Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic, Ben served as President of Ochsner Physician Partners and System Vice President of the Accountable Care Network at the Ochsner Health System in New Orleans.
Ben holds a Master of Health Administration from Tulane University, and a BS in Commerce and Business Administration from the University of Alabama. He also is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE).
